STEP 1

NETSCAPE: If you are using Netscape, the window below will appear. Click Save File

Clicking Save file above will bring up the window below. Type C:\windows\temp\sample.exe (or substitute the name of the file you are downloading for sample.exe) then click Save. Wait for download to complete then go to step 2.

MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER: If you are using Internet Explorer, when you enter the password and click the submit Password bar, the window below will appear.  Make sure "Save this program to disk" is checked then click OK.

The window below will appear, type C:\windows\temp\sample.exe (substitute the name of the file you are downloading for sample.exe) then click Save. Once the file is saved, go to step 2 below.

STEP 2

Once the file has finished downloading, click Windows 95, 98, or 2000 Start button then click Run... (the window below will appear). Type in c:\windows\temp\sample.exe (substitute the name of the .exe file you downloaded for sample.exe).

The window below will appear with the location on your computer where the e-book will be extracted, in this case c:\potatoes.  Click Unzip. (Note the path in the window. In this case it is c:\potatoes. You will need this later when you use your web browser to view the e-book.) Go to step 3.

STEP 3

NETSCAPE: If you are using Netscape, open your Netscape program (you don't have to be on line to do this). On the main menue bar, click File, then Open Page the window below will appear. Type c\potatoes\index.htm (remember this was the path [except for index.htm] noted above) then click Open.

INTERNET EXPLORER: If you are using Internet Explorer, from the main menu, click File, then Open. The window below will appear. Type c\potatoes\index.htm (remember this was the path noted above [except for index.htm]) then click OK.
