About the book
This book tells of strange things - strange things that you could hardly
imagine. The narrative of these stories places you right there in the midst
of it all, giving you a front row, center seat where you'll not miss any
of the action. The MAGIC OF DARK CANYON will leave you confused and TERROR
AT 1827 POPE STREET will send a chill down your spine.
It is not all about magic because the
author chose to tell of adventure along the mighty Rio Grande, the usually
furious river that Mexico calls the Rio Bravo, that divides Texas from
Mexico. A lost Indian tribe. A Comanche Indian raid. Drugs and murder –
all along the Rio Grande. And then a spooky and spiritual Navajo narration
of the regrettable but acceptable power of the great spirit.
A cattle empire was to be founded in
the grasslands of Far West Texas. In this story, Ben and Sara and the rugged
old Judge Roy Bean are introduced.
Further reading uncovers political corruption, embezzlement and
a murder take place, but all ends well. Whether or not you believe in ghosts,
Nancy and Leah will give you reason to ponder.
The pleasure of treading along paths
of magic, terror and adventure awaits you in this collection of original
stories.

Bill Goldwire is a master at creating fast moving adventure stories for
enjoyable reading with action at the very beginning. The stories move along
in a simple manner with no foul language and no four letter words, proving
that such speech is not necessary to catch the reader's attention.
Being a veteran high school English
