About the book

The time has come to tell the tale. Based on a true story, a young couple, Lindy and Charlie embark on marriage. One baby is born and life gets a little harder, a second baby is born and a life changing decision is made, a third baby is born and life spins out of control. The couple finds themselves far from home with very little money. They are overcome with finding their place in the world. Follow them through a journey of heartbreak, tears and guilt. Then follow the second daughter through her journey from fear to triumph.

Excerpts

“I heard on the radio we’re in for cooler weather—it’s  only supposed to hit 70 today,” the doctor said as he entered the delivery room. He smiled at Lindy, told her she had done a good job, and urged her to relax. A few minutes later, he handed her a new life wrapped in a tiny blanket. Lindy and her husband, Charlie, had a new daughter.

Charlie rushed out of the hospital and drove to his mother’s house. As they sat down on the front porch, he began to tell her about the baby and how much the financial burden scared him. She listened but did not say a word; she only rocked back and forth in her chair.
