Excerpts
I had to look one more time to make sure this was my Rael, the girl I loved.  I lifted the blanket, and I wished I hadn't.  Rael was now standing over Cambell-Smith, and as I watched in horror she stubbed her cigarette on his swollen scrotum and held it there as smoke rose from his burning flesh.  I dropped the blanket in a hurry.  It was the most nauseating thing I'd ever seen.
